Addictive products are everywhere these days. From cigarettes to alcohol, it looks like each and every one of us is addicted to something or the other. Well, Coffee does seem harmless enough but that is not the case. If you ever tried quitting coffee earlier but in vain, you are addicted to coffee. It is not time you give up coffee while there is still hope. Giving up coffee isn't just as easy as stopping to drink it one fine morning. You need to go slow.. decrease coffee consumption little by little, day by day and before you know, you'll be off coffee.
This 5-step coffee quitting guide will browse you through the easiest method possible to quit coffee...JUST LIKE THAT!
Now you don't need to suffer coffee addiction withdrawal symptoms, just follow this guide and you will be just fine.
Step 1:
Switch to herbal tea, some kinds of teas are caffeine-free and are flavoured with berries and herbs. If you want to quit coffee but not completely eliminate caffeine from your diet, just switch over to tea, this is because teas have many more health benefits than coffee. They also have lower caffeine content that coffee
Step 2:
Start drinking Juices every morning. Every time you go for an early morning jog, just gulp down a mug of any fruit juice. It will give you a feeling of having had a liquid in the morning (so you don't miss your coffee) and will also boost your sugar level. It will do good to you.
Step 3:
Ease out your coffee intake. Don't even try quitting abruptly. You, most certainly, won't be able to stay away from coffee for over 5 days if you just stop drinking it. Start by halving your daily coffee intake, go for 3 days and then chop it to half once more and keep doing that till you feel you don't need coffee anymore!
Step 4:
For some of us, Tea is "not our cup of tea". Tea wasn't made for us. If you (for some reason) don't like the taste of tea, you should try honey and lemon juice. You would want a hot liquid early in the morning to shake you up. Take a mug of luke warm water and squeeze some lemon juice into it. Alter the recipe to suit your tastebuds.
Step 5:
Drink lots and lots of water. As much as you can get your hands on. 4 litres of water daily would do you good. Coffee can really make you feel dehydrated and to do away with the fatigue and dehydration, start drinking alot of water.
Thats it. Following these 5 steps can help you easily quit coffee over a fortnight without any withdrawal symptoms. You won't even know and coffee will be long gone from your life. Happy Quitting.
